Warren County prison escapee back behind bars

UPDATE @ 6:45 p.m.:

Robert Moman, inmate from the Warren County Community Corrections Center who escaped Monday morning after receiving treatment at a Middletown hospital has been captured.

He was booked into the Warren County Jail on an attempted escape charge.

Deputies are searching for an inmate from the Community Corrections Center who escaped after receiving treatment at a local hospital Monday morning.

According to a release by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, just after midnight, Robert Moman was being transported back to the CCC, located at 5234 state Route 63 in Turtlecreek Twp., by an employee after being treated at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown.

While stopped at a traffic light, Moman escaped from the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the area of 122 and Union Road in Middletown to stage a search for Moman, who was last seen running north from the hospital.

Moman, 33, stands 6 feet tall, weighs 180 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing khaki pants and a gray shirt with “CCC” printed on the back, the release stated.

He was sentenced to CCC after being convicted of domestic violence.
