1 seriously injured in Logan Co. crash

Authorities said a 44-year-old Westerville, Ohio, woman suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday when the car she was driving on U.S. 68 was hit by a pickup truck at Ohio 274 in McArthur Twp.

Andrea Savoia-Adams headed west on 274 at about 2:49 p.m. when she apparently failed to yield from a stop sign as she was attempting to cross 68, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol post in Marysville.

The 1998 Saturn she was driving was struck by a 2006 Chevy pickup, driven by 79-year-old Carl Bleininger of Rushsylvania, who was headed north on 68.

Bleininger suffered injuries that were not considered life threatening. He was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital, according to the patrol.

Savoia-Adams was taken to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She is likely to be cited for a traffic violation, according to the patrol post Wednesday night.
