SICSA earns national certification for volunteer service

SICSA Pet Adoption Center has earned a national certification for volunteer service.

The non-profit has been certified as a Service Enterprise Organization by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service.

“The Service Enterprise training that we received helped us refine and build on our ability to set our volunteers up for success,” Volunteer Coordinator Jenna Jones said. “It also better enables us to extend our outreach and capacity in ways that we would never be able to do on our own as just volunteers or just staff.”

In 2018, SICSA placed over 1,800 pets and spayed/neutered over 4,000 community animals.
