The new facility was built 20 years ago as a church but has been re-purposed for higher education.

The 100,000-square-foot building cost $9.6 million, has two gyms and an auditorium that can seat up to 1,500 people.
“This building, you just walk in and immediately it’s functional,” said Executive Director Laura Mercer. “This building has been phenomenal to work with. It was originally designed as a multi-purpose educational facility even though it was built for a church and we had to do very little modification to it.”
This Sinclair facility adds to the others throughout the Dayton region. The new allied health class will also help add to the workforce.
“That is really key because we’re right across the street from Premier’s Miami Valley South and right down the street from Kettering’s new facility, so feeding the workforce is really important for that,” said Mercer.
Classes begin at the Centerville campus on Monday, welcoming 350 students at first and more later as programs expand.
