Southwest Ohio sheriff, on twitter, asks for information about suspected illegal immigrants

Sheriff Richard K. Jones of Butler County may start to gain national attention again with his latest tweet that went out Thursday morning about suspected illegal immigrants.

Jones tweeted, “Anyone that knows employers that hire illegals give me the names.”

Immediately, comments flew into his Twitter account, some naming businesses in the Butler County area and others showing harsh disdain for his words.

When asked his comments Jones said, "Because I want to know. The public is fed up with it. They want the wall built they don’t want illegals coming in and taking jobs away from Americans."

Earlier this week, Jones said he wants to see the federal government raid businesses in Butler County, just as immigration officers arrested more than 100 workers at a northern Ohio gardening and greenhouse company on Tuesday.
