The charges against John Austin Hopkins stem from an investigation by Springboro police that began in March after police received a report of inappropriate physical conduct with a first-grade female student.

There were 88 female first-grade students seen on video that had physical interactions with Hopkins.

The first allegation came to light in March of 2019, but the behavior allegedly had been going on for months.
