1 transported to hospital after industrial accident in Middletown

UPDATE, 3 p.m.:

Carley Berman, city spokeswoman, said the injured man was later transported by medical helicopter from Atrium to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

INITIAL REPORT:

A man was injured this afternoon in an industrial accident, according to Middletown Assistant Fire Chief Tom Snively.

The man was injured while operating a machine at Granger Plastics Co., 1600 Made Industrial Drive.

CareFlight was called to the scene, but the man was transported by ambulance at about 12:40 p.m. to Atrium Medical Center.

More details about the injured employee or accident were not immediately available.

OSHA was notified of the incident, Snively said.
