Vehicle flies off Austin Boulevard in Miami Twp., leaves driver trapped

UPDATE @ 8:22 p.m.: The driver of a sedan witnesses said went airborne across Austin Boulevard, near I-75 North in Miami Twp., had to be extricated from the wreckage.

Witnesses said the sedan turned sideways through the air.

Several passers-by stopped and went to help the female driver until a medic unit arrived.

“It was amazing the car didn’t land on any other cars,” one witness said.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation.

Police and fire/rescue crews have been dispatched to vehicle accident with entrapment off Austin Boulevard near I-75 North in Miami Twp.

A witness tells us the vehicle went airborne over Austin Boulevard and landed in the grass just off I-75 near the Field & Stream sporting goods store and ended up on its top.

The accident was dispatched about 6:35 p.m.
