A 49-year-old Middletown man has died of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle accident May 18 on Verity Parkway.

Roy Stidham died Friday evening at Miami Valley Hospital, said one of his sisters, Robin Gibson.

Stidham leaves to mourn six sisters, she said.

"He was the baby," Gibson said.

Thursday, family and friends erected a white cross with six yellow flowers and a ribbon near the scene of the crash that closed Verity Parkway for hours near Hughes Street.

The other driver, Timothy Villano, 26, also of Middletown, remains in the Middletown City Jail on $30,000 bond. He is due back in court Tuesday.

Middletown police Maj. David Birk said Villano ran from the wreck but was apprehended by police. He was jailed on suspicion of OVI, aggravated vehicular assault, fleeing the scene of an accident and other traffic violations.
