>> Dayton Allstate agencies host donation drive to help domestic violence victims
Volunteers will work at more than 19 Dayton-area sites, including:
- Invasive species removal at Adventure Central, Aullwood Garden, Carriage Hill, Germantown, Hills & Dales, Island, Possum Creek, Taylorsville and Sugarcreek MetroParks
- Planting and greenspace maintenance at Cox Arboretum, Island, Sugarcreek, Sunrise, and Wegerzyn Gardens MetroParks and the Great Miami Mitigation Bank
- Building raised beds at Possum Creek MetroPark
- Nature Play Area maintenance at Englewood and Wegerzyn Gardens MetroParks
- Litter removal at RiverScape MetroPark
To volunteer for this event, registration is required. To register online by Oct. 18, visit www.metroparks.org/make-a-difference.
Participants should dress for the weather and activity they chose. Supplies will be provided, but individuals may want to bring gloves and a refillable water bottle.
