School board to consider renewal levy, contracts

Tonight, the Lebanon City Schools Board of Education is scheduled to consider the first of two resolutions needed to seek renewal of the district’s five-year emergency operating levy, which generates $3 million a year and expires in 2016.

It is also scheduled to consider approval of amended employment contracts with Superintendent Mark North and Treasurer Eric Sotzing.

It is also scheduled to consider approval of a new five-year forecast and amended appropriations for 2016 tonight.

The board is also to consider an amended agreement with SHP, architects of the district’s building improvements and to discuss a potential partnership with the Countryside YMCA and Premier Health Partners.

Council to consider city budget Thursday

The Springboro City Council is scheduled to meet in work session at 5 p.m. Thursday to discuss the proposed 2016 general fund budget. At 7 p.m., the council is to consider approval of the budget.

The council is also scheduled to consider adopting the new municipal income tax law passed by state lawmakers and hiring a contractor to make repairs in the kitchen at Heatherwoode Golf Course.

The council is also scheduled to consider a new plan for the Ascent subdivision and granting right of way on a portion of Waterside Drive to Fischer Development.

Trustrees give raise to administrator

The Cleacreek Twp. Board of Trustees on Thursday approved a raise for Administrator Jack Cameron to $101,400 and revised police procedures for the township department.

The board also accepted a donation from the Enterprise TE Products Pipeline Company to the Clearcreek Township Fire District.
