Church blood drive set for Nov. 28

Lebanon Presbyterian Church is teaming up with Community Blood Center to host a Thanksgiving and Ohio State-Michigan Week blood drive Saturday, Nov. 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, 123 North East St.

Everyone who registers to donate will receive the “Buckeye Blood Donor” football T-shirt.

Zoning panel to consider swimming pool code

The Clearcreek Township Zoning Commission is continuing a public hearing on proposed changes to the township zoning code related to swimming pools. The issue was tabled on Nov. 2.

The commission will also consider a request by David Oakes, agent for VWC Holdings LTD., to review materials provided for lots located in The Boulevards Section Five and Turning Leaf Section Four of the Villages of Winding Creek subdivision. The property in The Boulevards section is 31.3 acres. The property in the Turning Leaf section is 14.7 acres.

The commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at the the Clearcreek Township Government Center, 7593 Bunnell Hill Road.

Brush of Hope is a nonprofit organization that uses art to help young girls from disadvantaged families raise their self-esteem and build confidence, learn conflict resolution and coping mechanisms, and acquire leadership skills.
