Mental health services committee to meet

The Finance Subcommittee of Mental Health Recovery Services of Warren & Clinton Counties will meet on Tuesday, June 2, at 7:30 a.m. at the MHRS Administrative Office, 212 Cook Road in Lebanon. It is the area’s alcohol, drug addiction and mental health services board.

It is responsible for planning, funding, monitoring and evaluating a system of services and programs for individuals with serious mental and emotional disorders and substance addictions.

SPRINGBORO

Commission to discuss hospital office plans

The owner of the Restoration Station is planning a 2,400-square foot addition to the 3,200-square foot building that houses the business at 250 Hiawatha Trail in Springboro.

The addition would be located on the rear or east side of the property and attached to rear of the existing building. An existing gravel parking area in the area would be paved as part of the proposed project.

The Springboro Planning Commission is scheduled to consider approval at a meeting to begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The commission is also expected to consider approval of a plan for a 31,296-square foot medical office building on the northwest corner of North Main Street-Ohio 741 and and Village Park Drive for Kettering Medical Center across from the Settler’s Walk planned community.

Staff has recommended approval of both projects.

The commission meets at city hall, 320 W. Central Ave. in Springboro.

Blood drive scheduled at Masonic Lodge

A blood drive is scheduled on Saturday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to noon in the Waynesville Masonic Lodge, 1351 Lytle Road.

SPRINGBORO

Central Avenue roadwork to begin soon

Starting on or around June 1, The Ohio Department of Transportation will begin concrete curb and roadway base repair work on Ohio 73, Central Avenue in Springboro, from Ohio 741 to Interstate 75.

Once work is complete, ODOT will also be resurfacing the roadway, including adding bike lanes from Springwood Drive to the west.

A majority, if not all of the work, will be done during the night, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
