Washington Twp. Recreation Dept. wins award for senior program

The Washington Twp. Recreation Department won a first-place award for their senior program, according to a release.

The Ohio Parks and Recreation Association selected the Washington Twp. Recreation Department for the first place Award of Excellence in Management Innovation for its work in establishing diversified and sustainable programming for senior adults.

The Township’s program was one of 14 selected for the first-place award from about 150.

“These award winners represent the best of the best in parks and recreation in Ohio,” said OPRA Executive Director Woody Woodward. “These programs and projects are changing the lives of people around the state and building better communities in Ohio.”
