West Carrollton plans Christmas tree, bulk trash service

WEST CARROLLTON – City residents can now discard their cut Christmas trees at the curb on their regular trash collection day.

West Carrollton residents are asked to remove all decorations including lights, tinsel and ornaments. Trees should not be placed in bags.

Starting on Monday, Jan. 9, the West Carrollton service department will conduct a quarterly bulk trash pick-up through Friday, Jan. 13, on residents’ regular collection days.

In addition to any remaining trees, the city will collect household items such as appliances, carpet, brush, metal and lumber. Appliances should have the doors removed from the hinges. Carpet and brush should be cut in 3-4 ft. lengths and bundled. The city will not pick up contractor generated materials or remodeling materials.
