West Carrollton School Board race has only 1 name on ballot for 2 seats

Voters in the West Carrollton City School District will see only one name on the ballot for two board of education seats in Tuesday’s election.

Two people – including one incumbent - seeking a seat failed to collect enough valid signatures to get their names on the ballot, according to the Montgomery County Board of Elections.

Current board member Joe Cox and aspiring candidate Nathaniel Mundy fell short of the 75 minimum valid signatures needed to be considered, according to the board of elections.

That leaves incumbent Don Henry not facing opposition to retain his seat on the board in the district, which includes parts of Miami Twp. and Moraine.
