Witnesses mistake Miamisburg garage fire for Labor Day celebration

Update @7:15 a.m: Officials were dispatched to a fully engulfed detached garage fire at a residence in the 50 block of Arthur Ave in Miamisburg around 6:30 a.m. Monday morning, according to reports.

Neighbors stated they noticed smoke for over an hour before realizing that it was not due to Labor Day celebrations, but rather a nearby residence on fire,specifically noticing wires sparking from the garage.

Miami Valley Fire Department are not sure what caused the fire and though a Corvette and motorcycle inside the garage were ruined, they are not sure of damage estimates.

 Everyone got out of the house safely and officials will continue to be on the scene for the next couple of hours for further investigation.

There is a fully engulfed structure fire in Miamisburg in the 50 block of Arthur Ave that occurred early Monday morning, according to reports.
