According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, Pierce-McCoy was traveling north on Ohio 503 in a 2004 Ford F-250 when she failed to negotiate a curve.
The truck drifted off the right side of the road and Pierce-McCoy over-corrected, which caused the vehicle to flip over an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its roof.
Emergency personnel extricated Pierce-McCoy from the vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation.
Darke County Sheriff’s deputies and Arcanum Rescue received aid from Greenville Rescue, New Madison Fire Department, CareFlight and the Darke County Accident Reconstruction Team.
