Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball games held today

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) games will be held today at Ron Nischwitz Baseball Stadium at Wright State University, according to a release. Tickets are a $5 donation and all revenues go to meeting the mission of the Dayton Warriors Softball Fund, “Honor Our Veterans and Help Our Community.”

9:00 a.m. - WWAST vs. local Military and 1st Responder All-Stars

11:00 a.m. - WWAST Salute to Gold Star Families ceremony, includes recognition from event beneficiaries such as Fisher House, Honor Flight-Dayton, the WSU Veteran & Military Center, and the Dayton VA Medical Center.

2:00 p.m. - WWAST vs. Dayton Legends Softball Club All-Stars

The two exhibition softball games are hosted by the Dayton Warriors Softball Fund, an all-volunteer host committee raising funds for Miami Valley veteran causes.
