Xenia emergency crews preparing for weekend winter storm

NewsCenter 7’s Gabrielle Enright talked with Xenia Fire Chief Kenneth Riggsby about what his staff is doing to help keep roads safe this weekend.

Chief Riggsby says he would obviously prefer all snow, but it looks like ice may hit the city as well. Riggsby stated that his department has invested in two 4-wheel drive medics to help serve the community during severe winter weather.

Crews advise that if you have a fire hydrant near your house they would like you to do all you can to clear it of snow just in case an emergency arrives where fire crews would need it.
