Douglas Allen Randall, 28, was booked into the Greene County Jail on Monday where he will spend 180 days after he was convicted in August of vehicular homicide, a first-degree misdemeanor, in Xenia Municipal Court.
In addition, Randall must pay a $850 fine and has had six points added to his driver’s license, according to online court records.
On Nov. 12, 2016, Randall was driving a 2008 Ford F-150 north on New Jasper Paintersville Road when he didn’t yield to a westbound pickup truck on Hussey Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Randall’s passenger, 3-year-old Riley Staton, was not restrained and later died from her injuries at Dayton Children’s Hospital, according to the patrol.
