18-year-old driver killed, 2 injured in 2-vehicle accident near Waynesville

An 18-year-old woman was killed and a Xenia man suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 42, near Township Line Road, in Warren County’s Wayne Twp.

Makenna Blanding and passenger Kylee Blanding, 25, of Waynesville, were headed north on U.S. 42 in an Oldsmobile Alero that traveled left of center and struck a Chevrolet Trailblazer just before noon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol post in Lebanon. 

The younger woman died at the scene. Her passenger suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to Atrium Medical Center in Middletown. 

Daniel Harvey, 42, of Xenia, the driver of the SUV, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.
