Police pulled over a vehicle because of a loud muffler, and when they searched the vehicle, they found a crack pipe lying on the floorboard. The owner of the vehicle, Chad Malay, 40, of Goldman Avenue, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for a loud muffler.
A Middletown man was charged with petty theft after he allegedly stole three package of Trojan condoms, valued at $8.57, from Walmart, 2900 Towne Blvd. David Townsend, of South Breiel Boulevard, allegedly opened a package and put three packages in his pocket and walked past the cashiers.
Aug. 26
During a traffic stop in the 800 block of Lafayette Avenue, a K-9 officer indicated there were narcotics in the vehicle. Two marijuana cigarettes were found underneath the passenger seat. The driver of the vehicle, Myah Bost, 18, of Kuntz Avenue, was charged with possession of marijuana.
A red Toro lawn mower, worth $150, was stolen from the back yard of a residence in the 1500 block of Plum Avenue.
Aug. 27
While a man was bowling at Eastern Lanes, someone broke into his residence in the 100 block of Kenec Drive and stole a 50-inch flat screen TV, one Xbox 360 and miscellaneous shoes, all valued at $700.
Someone broke into a home in the 100 block of Harrison Street that is scheduled to be demolished in the city. No one was found inside and police were unable to secure the front door.
Someone damaged an air conditioner at a residence in the 500 block of 16th Avenue. They took part of the coil.
A window in a garage in the 300 block of Curtis Street was damaged by vandals.

A LG cell phone and sword were stolen from an unlocked truck that was parked in the 1700 block of Lafayette Avenue.
