A 24-year-old Dayton man pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide Wednesday in connection to an October 2019 deadly crash in Butler Twp.

William S. Bush V was moved to the Montgomery County Jail on Tuesday from the Greene County Jail, according to jail records. He is being held on charges including vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated, driving under a suspended license and failing to control a vehicle.

Bush was arrested on a warrant issued in August, after an attempt to serve him a summons for an arraignment was unsuccessful, according to Vandalia Municipal Court records.

Bush was identified as the driver of a car that crashed Oct. 10, 2019, while it was headed west on Benchwood Road near Miller Lane, according to a traffic crash report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Dayton Post.

Bush’s two passengers had to be removed from the crash by mechanical means.

Bush and both passengers suffered serious injuries, the report said, and were taken to Miami Valley Hospital.
