Miami Valley Gaming to host Celtic festival party

Celtic music and dancers will fill the Center Bar at Miami Valley Gaming on Wednesday as the gaming and entertainment complex hosts the kick-off party for the United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival.

The Celtic band Sons of Blarney will play and dancers from the Celtic Academy of Irish Dance will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miami Valley Gaming. The kick-off party is free and the public is invited to attend.

Miami Valley Gaming, which opened last December just off Interstate 75 at Exit 29, is a first-time sponsor of the Celtic festival.

The festival itself will be held at the Riverscape Metro Park at 111 E. Monument Ave. in Dayton. The hours of the festival are 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday; noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
