Police ID Franklin man injured in motorcycle crash

UPDATE, May 11:

The condition for a Franklin man who was injured in a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon is improving.

Terry Hembree, 25, was reported in stable condition at Atrium Medical Center this morning.

First responders said Hembree was reported in critical condition after a collision with a vehicle and a parked car about 3:50 p.m. Thursday afternoon at East Fourth and South Main streets in Franklin.

Franklin police said in its initial investigation the motorcycle was northbound on South Main Street, failed to stop at a red light, struck a westbound vehicle and then a parked car.

The Ohio Highway Patrol’s Lebanon post is continuing its investigation of the crash but had no further information to release as of Friday morning.

INITIAL REPORT, May 10:

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a collision with a vehicle and a parked car Thursday afternoon at East Fourth and South Main streets in Franklin.

The initial investigation reveals that the motorcycle was northbound on South Main, failed to stop at a red light, struck a westbound vehicle and then a parked car, Chief Russ Whitman said in a prepared statement released this afternoon.

The accident was dispatched about 3:50 p.m.

Whitman said the Ohio State Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation. Lebanon post dispatchers did not have any additional information on the crash at 5:30 p.m.
