Multiple employers hiring Tuesday in Butler County

About five different companies with job openings to fill will be accepting applications at once Tuesday at OhioMeansJobs-Butler County.

Job seekers can apply between 4 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at the job center, located at 4631 Dixie Hwy. in Fairfield.

Participating employers include Barclaycard US, which will open a call center later this month in Hamilton; Home Depot's Rapid Deployment Center in Monroe; Ray St. Clair Roofing Inc., a Fairfield business starting a new apprenticeship program; Michael Staffing Services; and Butler County Regional Transit Authority, according to OhioMeansJobs.

Hopes are the later hours will attract applicants looking for better and higher paying job opportunities, as well as other people whose schedule would allow them to come later, said Melissa O’Brien, business services liaison for the Butler County job center.

“We’re doing it for the underemployed, for the people who have jobs that can’t take off during the day,” O’Brien said.

Job opportunities include customer service, construction, distribution, truck driving and more positions.
