Ex-'Apprentice' contestant Summer Zervos: Trump made unwanted sexual advances

A former contestant on "The Apprentice" came forward Friday with new allegations of sexual misconduct against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Summer Zervos competed in Season 5 of "The Apprentice." She said at an emotional news conference Friday that Trump kissed her "aggressively" and groped her chest in a hotel in Los Angeles when she met him in 2007 to discuss job prospects.

"Instead of a job, Ms. Zervos claims she got the Donald all over her, kissing her, touching her breasts, leading her into his bedroom," said civil rights attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing Zervos. "Donald, before you can become president of the United States, you must first learn to treat women with respect. ... The White House is not a locker room and the American people deserve better than a president who believes he is entitled to grope and grab women at his pleasure."

She said she was coming forward in the wake of a presidential debate in which Trump said he has never sexually assaulted a woman – despite bragging about being able to touch women without their consent because of his celebrity status – because "I want to be able to sleep when I'm 70 at night."

She told reporters she first became uncomfortable a few days before the meeting in California while speaking with Trump in his office in New York. He greeted her with a kiss and said goodbye the same way, she said.

Uncomfortable, she called her parents and a friend in New York. Together they concluded "that this was undoubtedly some form of greeting and that I should not take it as anything other than that."

Zervos said that she agreed to meet with Trump in Los Angeles.

"I felt as though my dream of working for Mr. Trump might come true," she said.

Zervos said that she went to the Beverly Hills Hotel to meet Trump and was surprised when, instead of going out to dinner, a security guard led her to a bungalow. She said Trump greeted her in a sing-song voice.

"I stood up and he came to me and started kissing me open-mouthed, pulling me toward him," she said. After she broke off the kiss, "He then grabbed my shoulder and began to kiss me again very aggressively and placed his hand on my breast."

Zervos walked out and he tried to convince her to lay in his bed with him and watch television, she said.

She pushed him away and told him she wasn't interested. He responded by thrusting his genitals at her, she said.

"He started saying that he did not think I had ever known love or had ever been in love," Zervos said in a shaky voice. "I did not want to talk about my personal life with him."

When dinner arrived, she said Trump switched gears and treated the meeting "like a job interview."

She did not end up getting a job with the Trump Organization. She said she felt she "was being penalized for not sleeping with him," and that she was unaware of other allegations against Trump until recent reports surfaced.

"You do not have the right to treat women as sexual objects just because you are a star," she said.

Zervos is the 13th woman to come forward with allegations against Trump, ranging from claims that he walked in on teen beauty pageant contestants as they changed clothes to allegations that he forced himself on them.

Trump promised to provide evidence refuting the claims "at an appropriate time." He emphatically denied the allegations Friday at a rally in Florida and said the reports are politically motivated.

"These attacks are orchestrated by the Clintons and their media allies," he said. "The only thing Hillary Clinton has going for herself is the press. Without the press she is absolutely zero."
