Congressman Turner’s ex-wife takes Indiana job

Lori Turner, who has been the vice president of marketing at Kettering Health Network since 2010, is moving to Indiana.

Turner, whose divorce from Rep. Mike Turner, R-Dayton, was finalized in May, has accepted a position as the chief marketing, innovation and customer experience officer for Beacon Health System in Indiana, Fred Manchur, chief executive officer of the Kettering Health Network wrote in an email to Kettering Medical Center board members.

“Lori has been a visionary, passionate leader at KHN,” he wrote. “She’s had many accomplishments including advancing physician recruitment as the first Director of Business Development at Kettering Medical Center.”

He said Lori Turner’s work improved brand awareness of the Kettering Health Network and led to “significant growth” in mammography and emergency services. She also helped lead the development of the network’s first consumer magazine, “Health Connection” and its first physician-focused magazine, ‘Physician Quarterly,’” he wrote.

And she led the network to develop its first Super Bowl commercial, “Touchdown Teddy Bear,” which aired during this year’s game.

Before joining the Kettering Health Network in 2010, Lori Turner was president and chief executive officer of the Dayton-based Turner Effect. She has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dayton.

Kettering Health Network is a not-for-profit e are a not-for-profit network of seven hospitals, eight emergency rooms and more than 75 outpatient facilities in Greater Dayton and Northern Cincinnati.
