Democrats will formally nominate Hillary Clinton for president and U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Virginia, for vice president this week at the party’s national convention in Philadelphia.
The tour will include stops in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. On Saturday and Sunday, the ticket will make stops in Youngstown and Columbus.
No Republican has won the White House without carrying Ohio and the last Democrat to do so was John F. Kennedy in 1960.
A poll released by Quinnipiac University on July 13 shows Clinton and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump tied in Ohio at 41 points each and Trump holding a two-point lead in Pennsylvania.
