Hillary Clinton bus tour to make stops in Ohio

The Clinton-Kaine ticket will wrap up the Democratic convention with a rally at Philadelphia’s Independence Mall and then launch a two-day bus tour through Pennsylvania and Ohio, the campaign announced.

“The tour will have a heavy emphasis on Clinton’s vision for an American economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top, and her agenda to create good-paying jobs,” the campaign said.

Democrats will formally nominate Hillary Clinton for president and U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Virginia, for vice president this week at the party’s national convention in Philadelphia.

The tour will include stops in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. On Saturday and Sunday, the ticket will make stops in Youngstown and Columbus.

No Republican has won the White House without carrying Ohio and the last Democrat to do so was John F. Kennedy in 1960.

A poll released by Quinnipiac University on July 13 shows Clinton and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump tied in Ohio at 41 points each and Trump holding a two-point lead in Pennsylvania.
