During a press conference Wednesday morning, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump denied ever asking Ohio Gov. John Kasich to be his vice president. The rumor first surfaced during last weeks’ Republican National Convention. Here’s part of his statement on the topic:
“I never asked John Kaisch to be vice president. We don’t have good chemistry together. I would never pick him to be vice president, there was never a conversation. I would not have picked John Kasich. For that to have gone out was so ridiculous
He’s a nice man, I never would have chosen him. And by the way, I’m leading in Ohio by three points.”
