It’s National Pretzel Day: Here’s where to celebrate in Butler County and help kids at Cincinnati Children’s

It’s National Pretzel Day and a local Auntie Anne’s is celebrating with a good cause in mind.

Auntie Anne’s at Liberty Center is donating 100 percent of its pretzel and drink sales today, April 26, to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

The celebration continues through 9 p.m. at Auntie Anne’s, 7100 Foundry Way, Liberty Twp., on the main floor of Liberty Center’s Foundry building between Dillard’s & Dick’s Sporting Goods.

“Auntie Anne’s encourages all of its stores to give back to their local communities — and supporting nearby Cincinnati Children’s in a big way seems like a perfect fit for us,” said local Auntie Anne’s store owner Mike Hatcher.

National Pretzel Day was introduced to Congress in 1983 to celebrate the art of making pretzels — a treat that dates back to 610 AD — and to recognize the evolution of the pretzel industry.
