From dozens of candidates, we are now down to only three trying to win the Democratic nomination for president.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren was the latest candidate to either quit or suspend their campaign to unseat President Donald Trump.

Former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders are still the front runners, The New York Times reported.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is also still running, but she is a long shot with only 1 delegate of the 1,284 declared to candidates, Fox News reported.

Three candidates -- former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg had earned 58 delegates, former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg had 26 delegates and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar had won 7, NPR reported.

All three of those candidates threw their support to the Biden campaign, the Times reported.

To win the nomination, the winner needs to have a total of 1,991 delegates, NBC News reported.

The nominee will officially be named at the Democratic National Convention held on Milwaukee starting on July 13, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

During a press conference Thursday, Warren did not share who she will be endorsing, CNBC reported.
