Another girl who was in the car at the time of the crash was seriously injured, though Geneva police Lt. Michael McDuffie told the AP she was expected to recover. Another girl in the vehicle was not seriously injured, according to the AP.
A photo obtained by WTVY showed the vehicle involved in Wednesday's crash with its top partially peeled back.

McDuffie told AL.com the victims of Wednesday's crash were actively involved in their high school.
"It's a tremendous loss for the community," he said, according to AL.com. "We're just asking for prayers for the families and the first responders."
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, though McDuffie told the AP a deer might have run in front of the vehicle.
