An Arkansas junior high school student is home because of the COVID-19 outbreak, but he is finding a way to keep his neighbors entertained.

Maxim Gilmer, a seventh-grader at Woodland Junior High School in Fayetteville, is practicing his trumpet lessons on the sidewalk in front of his home, KNWA reported.

Gilmer just learned how to play the instrument in January, but he is already impressing his neighbors, the television station reported.

"We live across the street and enjoyed his act of positivity and reaching out to entertain his fellow neighbors during this stressful time. Love this town," one of Gilmer's neighbors told KNWA.

“I think it’s cool. It’s pretty good that I can make people excited with like, trumpet, in down times, where, like, viruses are afoot,” Gilmer said.
