Jamani was born April 15. Her mom and dad, Cassie and Ktembe, are two lowland gorillas. Jamani is Ktembe's first offspring, WBNS reported.
The zoo is closed right now because of coronavirus, but even if the zoo was open, officials said mom, dad and baby will be behind the scenes with the other troop members for several months, WSYX reported.
Jamani is the 33rd gorilla to be born at the zoo, WSYX reported. Her name means friend in Swahili and was chosen by Mary Anne Huber, a docent at the Columbus Zoo, according to WBNS.
