Before you embark:
If you’re sick, the CDC says tell someone.
Contact the cruise line to see if there are other options than getting on the ship sick and check with your doctor to see if it is safe to sail.
While on the trip:
Wash your hands, and do it often.
You can stop the spread of germs if you do proper handwashing after visiting the bathroom and before you eat.
If you’re feeling ill, take care of yourself.
Drink water to prevent dehydration and get rest to get your immune system back on track
Leave the area if someone is sick.
The CDC says if someone is sick, don’t stick around. Leave the area as soon as you can and don’t expose yourself to the illness.
Don’t forget, to tell someone if someone is vomiting or suffering from other gastrointestinal issues.
