Child falls off roller coaster at Pennsylvania amusement park

A child fell off a roller coaster Thursday at Idlewild and Soak Zone in Pennsylvania.
Emergency dispatchers said the accident happened about noon, and a medical helicopter was called to the park.

TribLIVE reported that the child was conscious and was flown to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

During a news conference Thursday afternoon, officials said the boy was with his family. He fell off the Rollo Coaster, which has been shut down pending an investigation.

Further information on the child's condition was not available.
Earlier this week, a boy in Kansas died after a water slide accident at an amusement park.
