“We absolutely cannot bring people together in one building like that. That’s how the coronavirus spreads, and that’s how people die,” Beshear said during his daily news conference.
Beshear said officials were aware of at least six churches planning to hold in-person services, CNN reported.
The order does not apply to drive-up services, WLEX reported.
“Folks, we shouldn’t have to do this,” Beshear said. “What we’re asking is for you to love your neighbor as yourself. We shouldn’t have to do this.”
