The checks are part of the $2.2 trillion economic recovery bill that will give a $1,200 payout to individuals and $2,400 to married couples.
"I don't need that stimulus check when it comes, and it was just laying on my heart to bring it here because there's a lot of people that are hungry around here," Lambert told WLOX. "So, that's what we all need to do -- open our hearts first."
Volunteers like Sandra Robert were shocked by the large donation.
"She felt like we needed more than she needed it," Robert told WLOX. "And I'm going to tell you it gave me chills when she did it, and I think that's such a lovely thing to do."
