"Dolly Parton: 50 Years at the Opry" will air beginning at 9 p.m. from the iconic Nashville music venue, The Tennessean reported.

The show will trace Parton's five-decade history with the Grand Ole Opry, including scenes from the 50th anniversary party that took place Oct. 12 in Nashville, the newspaper reported.

"I'm so thrilled to be celebrating my 50-year anniversary with the Grand Ole Opry," Parton said on her website. "I'm also excited that NBC wanted to share in this milestone with me. Together we hope to entertain a broader audience on what the Grand Ole Opry is and what it means to me. We have some special treats, surprises and great performances by some very talented artists and I'm looking so forward to sharing it with you."

Parton, 73, will be joined by Hank Williams Jr., Emmylou Harris, Toby Keith, Chris Janson, Margo Price, Dierks Bently and Lady Antebellum, according to NBC.com.

Parton, who has been nominated for 46 Grammy Awards and is an eight-time winner, told The Tennessean during last month's 50th anniversary live show that playing the Grand Ole Opry was always a big occasion.

“There’s always that little special place in my heart to think, ‘Oh, yay,’” Parton told the newspaper. “This is a really big milestone. It was my dream to be on the Grand Ole Opry as a child.

"As a kid, I could picture (Roy Acuff and Kitty Wells) in my head, and I would just picture where they were and I could hear people applauding … And I was picturing myself on the Grand Ole Opry, singing for my daddy. And I did and I still am.”

The television special will include archival footage from the Grand Ole Opry and behind-the-scenes commentary from Parton, The Tennessean reported.
