It will be the 20th year in the NFL for the 41-year-old QB, The Advocate in New Orleans reported.
He's been with the Saints since 2006 when he signed with the team as a free agent, WDSU reported.
Before that, he was with the San Diego Chargers, according to NFL.com.
Brees made the announcement on Instagram.
But keep in mind, there could always be a change, since Brees hasn't yet signed a contract and will be an unrestricted free agent on March 18, The Advocate reported.
Brees, who is the fourth oldest player in the NFL was the 10th highest-paid quarterback in 2019. He is the top active player, making about $250 million over his NFL career. Tom Brady is No. 2 with $235 million since 2000.
He's a 13-time Pro-Bowl selection, as well as the NFL's all-time leader for passing yards, passing touchdowns and completion percentage, ESPN and WDSU reported.
