Expectant deer hit by car gives birth, dies, but heroic officers save her baby

A group of police officers saved a baby deer born on the side of the road after its mother was hit by a car.

According to the Milton Police Department in Vermont, two other fawns died, and the mother died as well.

Officer Bosworth and Sgt. Locke performed a modified version on CPR on the newborn deer and saved the animal. It is now recovering at the Milton Veterinary Hospital where according to police, the fawn is doing well.

It's not every day you get to save a new born baby deer! Outstanding work today by Officer Bosworth and Sgt. Locke....
