Kathleen Byrne, from Syracuse, New York, was supposed to celebrate her birthday, but like many plans, the celebration fell victim to the coronavirus outbreak, CBS News reported.
That didn’t stop her family from paying Byrne a visit Wednesday.
They all were together but from far away, with the entire group practicing social distancing, holding signs and balloons, and wearing party hats as they lined a sidewalk while the birthday girl stood on her stoop.
Sara Byrne posted a video of the party on Instagram, or as she called it, “instaGRAM.”
Sara said of her grandmother: "She has done so much for our family and we are so so thankful to still have her, especially during this crazy time our world is going through. We wanted to show up for her to make her feel special on her big day, no matter what," CNN reported.
The family is looking to have Kathleen Byrne's party in the summer so her seven sons, 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren can be there, CBS News reported.
