Fit for Life SPRI Ultra Heavy Resistance Bands are being recalled.

Resistance bands are being recalled due to an injury risk, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

A recall listed on the CPSC website says that Fit for Life recalled its SPRI Ultra Heavy Resistance Bands on Friday. The black resistance bands were sold at Walmart and Walmart.com for about $10. About 95,000 units are being recalled.

The handles of the resistance bands can separate from the band while in use, posing an injury hazard to users. According to the recall, there have been 10 reports of injuries.

"In six of the incidents, consumers received contusions, abrasions and lacerations," the CPSC recall said.

As a remedy, consumers should contact Fit for Life for a refund for a SPRI.com store credit for the amount of the purchase price of the band or for a free replacement band.
