A Florida woman thought someone was trying to speak to her through dessert last week after she saw a human face in her key lime pie frosting and she took it to a local church to see if it meant anything.

Debra Mitchell said she was surprised to see a human face revealed to her inside her bowl of key lime pie on Wednesday in Tallahassee, the Tallahassee Democrat reports. Mitchell said she immediately sought guidance from a nearby church, which she said told her to leave after she received a prayer.

"I went next door to a church I'd never visited. These people didn't know who I was -- they told me to leave. They told me it was demonic and that I needed to leave and have my house anointed," she told the Tallahassee Democrat.

Mitchell said she disagrees with this claim and found that the pattern in the frosting showed "a sign of the times."

"America's in so much trouble and the first thing that came to mind was war. You can see the man crying," she told the Tallahassee Democrat.

After seeing the image, Mitchell said she finished eating and cleaned the bowl.
