Mary Lee, a nearly 3,500-pound shark, has been spotted near Long Island for a second year in a row, according to News 12. The massive shark surfaced May 6 about 40 miles off the coast of Atlantic City, according to Osearch.org, a group that tracks great white sharks.
"It's great news for us, actually for the environment," Joe Yaiullo, of the Long Island Aquarium, told News 12. "The waters are warming, and they're gonna follow the food. The food is migrating north."
