Chris Eberhardt, of Noblesville, said his family was on the porch Saturday night during a power outage. Hours later, Eberhardt said his security camera caught a man examining several pairs of shoes, WXIN reported.
“Like 'The Ring,' where she just crawls out of the TV, that's what it felt like," Eberhardt told the television station.
Eberhardt said the man left with his son's new school shoes. The shoes were not important, he told WXIN. His family just felt violated.

“It's not for the pair of shoes," Eberhardt told the television station. "It's because someone can just sneak up on your porch and take your stuff.”
Noblesville police are reviewing the video, Eberhardt said.
"If the guy needs help or he's homeless, that's fine, let's handle it," Eberhardt told WXIN. "If it's some guy breaking into people's homes and robbing them, he needs to pay the price for that."
