Officials with the Kansas City Fire Department said it transported the contract worker from the scene in an ambulance and performed CPR, KMBC reported..
In a statement Monday night, UPS offered condolences and said it is helping in the investigation.
“We are saddened for the loss of a vendor’s employee, who was maintaining equipment at one of our facilities," the statement said. "We are working with the responding authorities, and extend our heartfelt condolences to the individual’s family, friends and coworkers.”
Police have not released any other information.
