An Instagram post forced Miss Florida to give up her title this week when she was accused of violating pageant rules.
Pageant organizers said Genesis Davila, 24, used a professional to do her hair and makeup on the night of the pageant, which is against the rules.
Davilla told NBC Miami that the photo showed her with a "family friend in her mother's hotel room."
“I still feel like I’m Miss Florida USA because I was crowned Miss Florida USA that night,” Davila said to NBC Miami. “Even though all these false accusations and allegations and rumors have been wandering all over social media, I know that I have proof to show the world that none of this is true.
The Miss Florida title now goes to the runner-up, Linnette de los Santos of Sunny Isles Beach.
